The Automobile Association of Namibia is affiliated to mobility organizations in 105 countries worldwide.
The Automobile Association of Namibia was established on 13 April 1989 and started its business operations in the same year. The main objective of the company is to provide motoring amenities and facilities to its members as a social service. Any motorist and their families are welcome to join the Automobile Association of Namibia in their private capacity.

Membership is valid only for the private motorist who drives a motorcar or a self propelled vehicle whose payload does not exceed 1500 kg, or who rides a motorcycle. The condition is that none of the above will be used to carry people or goods for gain or reward. You can apply for AA membership at our office in Windhoek.

AA Namibia is a full member of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
Founded in 1904, the FIA brings together leading national motoring organisations from 132 countries worldwide and is the governing body for world motor sport Within the FIA, AA Namibia is a full member of FIA Region I and the FIA African Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTA).
The FIA African Council works with national and international authorities to:
1. Represent the voice and interests of member organisations for the development of motoring touring and road traffic in Africa;
2. Improve the range of services provided to¬†motoring tourists and travellers in Africa through cooperation with fellow member organisations, and reciprocal service agreements.
3. Promote and cooperate with governments and other organisations on issues such as traffic laws, regulations and road safety.
